    About myself

My name is Reinder Vrielink. I am 57 years old. I grew up in Deventer as second son in a family of four sons. I am married with Christa. We live in Deventer. We have three children (1976, 1978, and 1981) and two grandchild’s (Feb 2007, Sep 2008).
My hobbies are football (passive), travelling, walking, the garden, and everything that has a biological background. We have two cats and some gold fishes in the pond.

I studied biochemistry (Delft), biology, chemistry, and physics (Rijks Universiteit Utrecht) all Bachelor degrees and I have a Master degree (MSc) in e-learning, multimedia and consultancy (Sheffield Hallam University). My working experience is six years biochemical research. At the psychiatric hospital Endegeest at Oegstgeest, we studied brain metabolism, which has a relation with the disease of Parkinson. We had some publications. Through teaching nurses, I made a transfer to a secondary school in Deventer. There I was a science teacher for about ten years. After that, I became a headmaster on three different secondary schools (17 years). Nowadays I'm manager of education at Police academy of the Netherlands. Moreover, since 1983 I’m a publisher. I published books of my self and now we (my wife and my son as designer) developed a game about the new curriculum for the secondary schools in the Netherlands. I am interested in the role of information and communications technology (ICT) in teaching and learning.
