I’m interested in the role of information and communication technology (ICT) in learning and teaching. Learning to practise non-violent communication is one of my goals. Beside that I love soccer, nature, walking, cycling, travelling, music, and my family. My place of residence is Deventer, a small old town in the east of the Netherlands (EU).

I studied biochemistry (1973, HBO-b, Bachelor degree/Antonie van Leeuwenhoek Institute Delft), physics and chemistry (1981, MO-A, Bachelor degree/Rijks Universiteit Utrecht) medical and biological techniques (1983, Bachelor degree NGLOB/Amsterdam) and e-learning, multimedia and consultancy (2005, Master degree/Sheffield Hallam University).
In my work experience, I started as a biochemical laboratory assistant at the Psychiatric Hospital Endegeest in Oegstgeest where we did research on brain metabolism which is related to Parkinson’s disease. At the same hospital, I taught nurses laboratory skills. In 1978, I made a transfer to a secondary school in Deventer where I taught sciences for about ten years.
After that, I became a headmaster in three different secondary schools. During 2006/2007, I worked as an interim teacher/developer at NHL University in the Netherlands at the Institute of Technology, department of Communication & Multi Media Design where I developed the minor in education and multimedia. Since November 2007, I am manager of education at the School of Advanced Policing, Police Academy of the Netherlands and senior advisor in ICT learning and teaching. I also guided the school’s introduction of a new educational administration and planning system. At the school of Policing I am a member of the project team to develop a new curriculum: MBO all-round police officer in three years.
Beside my job and since 1983, I have my own (small scale) business called Paul Revédi Consultancy where I first started as a publisher, nowadays (2010) as coach, trainer and consultant in non-violent communication and ICT learning and teaching. I am married and I have three children and four grandchildren.
